For students who have not collected their token, schools will be distributing it soon, says Minister-in-Charge of the Smart Nation Initiative Vivian Balakrishnan.
“We will also be distributing tokens through the schools… Those of you with children or students, don’t worry. You don’t need to rush down to the community clubs. You can also collect a token in school in due time,” he said on Wednesday (Dec 23).
This will complement existing collection efforts at Community Centers.
The Government has also increased its order for the tokens, to up to 5 million, enough for 90+% of the population.
Target for Phase 3 reached
The target for Phase 3 has also been reached, as 70% of Singaporean’s are now participating in the TraceTogether Programme.
More than 2.05 million unique users have downloaded the app, and more than 1.75 million tokens have been collected to date.
